One of the most important parts of the work going on here at Inflatable Amnesty, is the collaboration with other like minded companies, or [as in this case, certified BCorp]
I was really pleased when Gladiator Events got min touch about the possibility of repurposing their decommissioned inflatable obstacle courses.
Gladiator Events are an outdoor events company with 'giving back' at the heart of what they do.
With various charity events and challenges, Gladiator were keen to not see their equipment languishing in landfill, even after it has ceased being useful in its previous form...
And so, after many chats and as usual, an AMAZING amount of support from our long term partner of over a decade [!] Wightlink Ferries, we were able to transport the ex inflatables to us, to be made into hard wearing [very brightly multicoloured] rucksacks.
In addition, we have had very special regenerative swing tags made, not only explaining the provenance of the bags, but also imbued with seeds, allowing them to be planted and grow into beautiful native British wildflowers
As the final, lovely part of the circle, Gladiator Events are hoping to donate these rucksacks to charity and so are currently looking for suggestions as to where they may be useful. You can read more about the project and put forward any suggestions through their website here
